A wino always fancies a good patio to drink on.
Living in Asia amongst all the high rises where gardens and a good patio is rare, one learns to appreciate, and must seize the moment to pop a bottle.
I'm currently in love with this place or their patio to be exact. The ambiance, the decor, and the staff are all so lovely.

The wine list is unfortunately a bit vague when it comes to which wine making region the wine is from. Just ask the staff, and they'll pop up to the wine cellar and check where exactly that Shiraz from Australia is coming from. From what I've been told a new menu is coming soon, so hopefully the new wine list will be more detailed.

A view from the inside bar, which is air conditioned.

Both the inside and outside bar have a 2nd floor. The upstairs areas are more catered to the introvert, which is perfect for one looking to drown their thoughts in a glass of wine.
These spaces can be booked for private parties starting at 500rm.

The Patio's table wine/house wine starts at 18rm
I always try to give the house wine a go.....just to see if the bar really cares about what they are serving. The wine may not be the best, but at least it can be palatable. At times I can be a 1-2 glass type of drinker then venture to the next spot, so sometimes having the house wine makes sense.
The Day Trippers Chardonnay from Australia was pleasant and served at the right temperature.
The Day Trippers Shiraz from Australia, alcohol isn't well integrated and was served a bit too warm.

When ordering house wine, inquire about how long the wine has been opened for, and see where they are storing the wine. If the wine has been opened for too long without being preserved, it will start to loose its' freshness.

I love Wine Folly's infographics, they are pleasing to look at and make learning about wine entertaining.

My favorite area of the bar is the patio; I've always been a fan of outside drinking areas. Just outside the Patio's walls is the hustle and bustle of the city, but being here you feel cut off from that, the outside world is impermeable to its’ walls…or at least, that’s how it seems.

Penang does indeed get quite hot and humid! Dress comfortably if you want to enjoy the patio.

If you are not in the mood for wine, Patio also has a wide range of cocktails, and does beer specials for happy hour.

                                              1 Pint 5-7PM 18rm
                                              1 Pint 7-9PM 20rm
