Outside Lands SF 2018 Wine Lands

Outside Lands SF 2018

Wine Lands

Words cannot describe all the positive energy that circulated around this event! This is a photo adventure of my journey making my way to work the Wine Lands Tent and enjoying some fun after.
Can't wait for Outside Lands 2019!

The Line Up!

Making my way around to the different stages absorbing all the energy floating around this wondrous place.

Follow the arrows!

Don't let the tent fool you! It's actually huge inside with lots of amazing wines to choose from.

Inside the wine tent

As the lights trickle through the trees and illuminated the park I wondered about, dancing, listening and sipping some wine and enjoying the last hours I had left at  Outside Lands.

The walk to the bus after Outside Lands is the way to go!

Spanish food, wine, and cookware galore.
This little store has a lot going on when it comes to their Spanish, Portuguese, and South American wine selection. The Sherry, Port and Madeira selection is also wonderful! I couldn't help but leave with a few bottles.

There are only a few books on Spanish wines, but plenty of books to get lost in about Spanish cooking.

Spanish ciders

So many spices!

Dry Sherry and olives =) one of Spain's many gifts to the world.

Fortified Wines

What is Madeira?

I couldn't help but try this as soon as I could!
I got a nose full of candied walnuts, toffee, and dried fruits. This wine displayed a full body with tangy notes of dried apricots, spices, and a nutty finish. Next time I'll pour a bit on ice cream =)

What is Port?

Something New

Something Old

White Wines

Albarino! A aromatic white wine I fancy, and a variety that reigns king in Rias Baixas, Spain.

This bottle was pure heaven!
Intensely aromatic nose of creamy citrus notes and minerals.
The palate blew me away with its medium body, medium well balanced acidity, and intense aromas of fresh squeezed lime, tart green apple, sea salt, and wet stones.
Terroir expressive indeed, this wine begs to paired with fresh seafood and oysters on the half shell.
